I completed desktop-based market research on behalf of a client attempting to convey design concepts of the newly constructed Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum. The client was attempting to explain very complicated design concepts in layman’s terms. They requested examples and a robust point-of-view on how best to bring design concepts to life.

Capturing and illustrating design ideas can be extremely difficult as the audience is typically dichotomous in their understanding of the questions at hand. That is, in presenting solutions to any design issue, the viewer may be a specialist or layman. Video easily bridges this gap through providing a medium reflective of the question itself.

Content included:

  • How to sell a geeky idea to anyone
  • The rise of the explainer video
  • Social media statistics and best practices
  • Case studies of viral video content
  • Executive summary and point of view

I loved this project because it blended my interests in research, communications, and architecture.
